Clauzi See

Winter Walks & Garden Views: The Silent Beauty of a Snowy January (January 2026)

"For me, winter is not something to be endured or suffered through. I love winter. Especially when it comes with snow.

January has been very generous. We haven’t had this much snow in at least 15 years - and what a beauty it creates!"

Wildlife in My Garden Delights 2025 (January 2026)

"While the garden without its beautiful snowy cover looks a bit bleak and dreary at the moment, it’s so enjoyable to revisit last years pictures and memories of what the garden looked like and what we can look forward to again in a few weeks or months time.

It’s not all about plants, it’s very much about wildlife — and while we are waiting for spring and life in nature to return, I’d love to share with you my favourite moments and encounters with wildlife in my garden of 2025."

A Frosty Winter Walk at Sunrise: Calm, light and beauty (January 2026)

"I love this quiet time of day, when hardly anyone is out and about and I have the town and its streets all to myself.

The sky is clear and blue, pastel shades spread from the east before the sun rises. It’s a very special atmosphere that I love. I’m a morning person. I prefer sunrises to sunsets. I love when the darkness recedes and the light emerges.

It is frosty on this morning at the end of December. Freezing cold at -7 degrees Celsius. But there is no wind, hoarfrost covers the landscape. There’s not a cloud in sight."

Grey Can Be Beautiful - and Hoods Are Now My Favourite Accessory (November 2025)

"Things change and they change for the better. Nowadays, a cold, grey autumn morning with drizzling rain draws me out of the house as soon as I open the shutters and glance outside.

And it was beautiful today. The yellow and orange leaves on the ground and those still clinging to the branches brought colour to the grey and drizzly backdrop. The cool air was refreshing, and as I walked towards the Free Little Library near the cemetary, I was the happiest I had been all morning.

Away from the internet, away from all the stimuli and distractions, even away from my thoughts, just me and the grey, the drizzle and the leaves. I smiled all the way."

Making Memories Between Storms: Sometimes all it takes is one fine hour in the garden (November 2025)

"My husband and I sat on the bench overlooking the garden, maybe for the last time this season. The atmosphere was quite different from summer, when the garden is a kaleidoscope of all shades of green and provides plenty of shade.

Today it felt lighter and brighter, yellow dominated. The remaining maple leaves on the tree's branches and twigs, the reed, the fallen leaves on the lawn, a pale sun filtering through the canopy of the maple tree, it made for a quiet, light, joyous mood and I was reminded again why autumn is my favourite season.

This was one of the good hours that will stay with me for long. When the next storm arrives or darkness falls. It's vital to have those kinds of memories and to take the time to make them."

My Gentle Ways to Reconnect With Nature: A Journey (August 2025)

"What helped me most to get started? Noticing small details. Being out in all weathers, even if it's just for a quick walk or in the garden. Reading about and exploring what caught my interest. Everything else came after that, and every aspect was a big win. A whole new world has opened up for me, the journey has only just begun."

How I Fell in Love With Birds ... only recently (March 2025)

"It’s funny sometimes, isn’t it? Something was there the whole time, but you didn't notice it. And then when you do notice it, suddenly everything changes and you wonder how on earth you could have missed it before. (And how you ever got by without it.) That happened to me with the birds.“

My Favourite Places in Nature ... and why they have changed over time (December 2024)

"My favourite landscapes or places in nature have changed over time, according to my outer and inner life. Inner life, mostly. They changed with me and according to my respective needs. And sometimes they came at the perfect time when the need was the greatest."

The North Sea in Northern Denmark, my grandparents' garden, Mount Olympus, a municipal forest twice the size of Central Park, our own little garden ... what will be next?
